Delivery & Returns

At Shower Trays UK we are constantly looking at ways to improve your customer experience with us. We not only pride ourselves on the quality of the products we supply but also the level of service, after care and customer support we provide.

Easter Bank Holiday Opening Hours

Our business is closed on Good Friday (Friday 29th March) and Easter Monday (Monday 1st April). 

There will be no delivery or click and collect services available on these dates. Please exclude the bank holiday dates from all delivery timescales specified online. 

Any orders placed or queries received over that weekend, will be processed and responded to on Tuesday 2nd April when we return.
Delivery Policy:

We offer a standard delivery service of 5-7 working days, or an express service of 2-4 working days. Some items may have a longer delivery timescale. If this applies, further information on this can be found on the delivery tab of each product page. Should there be any delays with any part of your order, we will be in contact. Deliveries are made Monday-Friday only.

Upon placing your order with Shower Trays UK your information is sent to our dispatch team who will contact you within 24 hours to advise of an estimated delivery date. Please contact us if you have any access restrictions around your address (including narrow lanes that may require a smaller vehicle) or if you need to discuss any special requirements you may have for delivery.

We offer a delivery service to mainland England, Wales and Scotland. For the areas we do not cover with our own vehicles, we do have the option of using an external pallet courier. Please note: We are unable to send select items via pallet courier due to certain restrictions such as height, weight or fragile nature. We aim to provide as much essential information as possible prior to placing the order. Should there be any issues when dispatching your order for delivery, our sales team will be in touch via phone call and email.

Our contact centre is open on a Saturday between 9:00am-12:00pm for customer enquiries, any orders taken will be processed on the following working day.

Please note: We strongly advise you do not arrange to have a product installed until it has arrived and has been checked. We will not be liable for any costs incurred in this way.

Pre Order Items

For items not in stock with ourselves or our supplier, the product page will provide a due in stock date and give you the opportunity to pre-order this item. This information is noted on the product page and at the basket. Once the order has been placed, we will contact you to confirm you are able to wait for the item. Until we have received your confirmation to proceed with the order, the item will not be placed on back order. 

Please note: We are unable to offer this service on all products due to not having access to certain suppliers stock feeds. If a product does not state a date but advises the product has low availability, please call to check stock levels.  

Delivery to Most of Mainland England and Wales (Delivery Zone 1)
We offer a FREE DELIVERY option on all orders over £499 to Mainland delivery addresses in delivery zone 1.
Any orders which are over £399 will incur a standard delivery charge of £9.95, orders which are over £299 will incur a standard delivery charge of £19.95, orders which are over £199 will incur a standard delivery charge of £29.95 and orders that are below £199 will incur a standard delivery charge of £39.95.

For those times you need your order delivered urgently we also offer an EXPRESS DELIVERY option for a cost of £24.95 on orders over £499.
Any orders which are over £399 will incur an express delivery charge of £29.95, orders which are over £299 will incur an express delivery charge of £39.95, orders which are over £199 will incur an express delivery charge of £49.95 and for orders below £199 express delivery is £59.95.
Delivery charges are only applicable once per order, regardless of how many items are ordered.

Delivery to the rest of the UK (Delivery Zone 2)
Deliveries to these locations will be done on specialist Pallet couriers, Unfortunately due to rising costs with these services we are no longer able to offer free delivery to areas outside of zone 1.
Delivery costs to zone 2 will be based on your location. You can check your available delivery options with our delivery calculator, which can be found on the basket page. Simply select your items and then enter your postcode to calculate the delivery cost.
We try our hardest to offer the best value for money on our products and we have subsidised these prices where possible. Orders over £499 will be offered our most preferential delivery rates. Unfortunately due to difficulties delivering items to some offshore destinations, we have had to take the difficult decision to no longer deliver to these areas. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Please Note: It is the responsibility of the customer to check the goods upon delivery before signing for them. Signing for them accepts they were received in good condition and undamaged. If there is any sign of damage please sign as "damaged" and report to us the same day of your delivery - claims for damage will not otherwise be accepted by our courier. You must inform us of any discrepancies whatsoever within 48 hours of delivery. Reasonable assistance must be provided to the delivery driver to help unload. Delivery is made to curb side / ground floor only. No responsibility can be accepted for any damage claims once the item is fitted. All responsibility of the goods lies with the buyer once the item has been received. We do not cover for consequential loss, labour or courier / transport costs.

If there is visible damage to any item we ask you provide photographs of the damage to our customer service team as soon as possible (contact@showertraysuk.co.uk). Our team will assess the damage to ascertain the best solution and respond as soon as possible.

If there are access restrictions around your address please inform us immediately as we may need to make special arrangements. If we are not contacted, and the delivery cannot be made due to poor access, you will be liable for a redelivery charge to bring the delivery out again on a smaller vehicle.  These are terms of sale.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Your Shopping Cart' at the top of the page, proceed to checkout and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Please check the delivery options in the basket or checkout for delivery prices.

We accept card payments, Paypal and bank transfers on special request.

Please note: All pictures are for representation purposes only. All dimensions provided are approximate and are subject to manufacturers tolerances.

We accept Visa and MasterCard as well as other major Debit Cards. Due to fraud prevention legislation we have to charge cards immediately. Our definition of ready to ship may be having given a supplier or manufacturer instructions to deliver directly to you. You are given the chance to enter your credit card details into our secure payment gateway with SagePay. Your details are not displayed to either us or SagePay, only to the banks for the purpose of completing the transaction.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice and take payment. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

We strongly advise you do not arrange to have a product installed until it has arrived and has been checked. We will not be liable for any costs incurred in this way.

Vouchers & Discount Codes
Valid discount codes and vouchers will only be displayed on our website or come from our official marketing emails. We do not use third party websites to offer discounts. Any discounts found on third party websites are not endorsed by ourselves and will not be valid.

Bespoke items

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013; Item(s) that are made to a customer’s specifications (but not standard upgrades or variations) cannot be cancelled once ordered so you will be subject to the full charge once the order is placed. You will be notified at the basket if you have selected a made to order item.

Delivery

We offer a standard delivery service of 5-7 working days, or an express service of 2-4 working days. You will be informed of any delays. Some products have longer delivery times; please check the delivery tab on the product for the estimated delivery timescale. We are closed on bank holidays and these will not count as a working day for the purposes of the delivery timescale. Your signature accepting the item from our delivering courier is deemed as sufficient proof of delivery.

It is the responsibility of the customer to check the goods upon delivery before signing for them. Signing for the items confirms they were received in good condition and undamaged. If there is any sign of damage please sign as "damaged" and report to us on the day of the delivery - claims for damage will not otherwise be accepted by our courier. Please ensure you inform us of any discrepancies whatsoever within 24 hours of delivery.

Reasonable assistance must be provided to the delivery driver to help unload. You will be made aware of any extremely heavy items so you can make the necessary arrangements. Delivery is made to curbside / ground floor only. No responsibility can be accepted for any damage claims once the item is fitted. You must check that the goods are in satisfactory condition prior to installation. All responsibility for the goods lies with the buyer once the item has been signed for. We do not cover for consequential loss, labour or courier / transport costs.

If there is visible damage to any item we ask you provide photographs of the damage to our customer service team as soon as possible and no later than 30 days from the date of delivery. If you have ordered a pallet item and there are access restrictions around your address, please inform us immediately as we may need to make special arrangements. This includes requiring a smaller vehicle for narrow lanes. If we are not contacted, and the delivery cannot be made due to poor access, you will be liable for a redelivery charge to bring the delivery out again on a smaller vehicle. These are terms of sale.

Payment

All of our products are offered to you on a payment with order basis. We will only accept your order if it is accompanied by payment in full. Payment can be made by most credit cards, debit cards, PayPal or by Bank Transfer.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, then we will back order it for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order, if you would rather not wait, then a full refund for the items cancelled will be arranged.

VAT

The prices we quote include VAT at the applicable rate.

Credit/Debit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are taken by SagePay via a secure encrypted connection, they are never visible to us or them, only to the banks for the purpose of making the transaction.

Privacy Policy

We at Shower Trays UK are totally committed to protecting your privacy. We comply with the principles of the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and the SafeBuy Code of Practice.

We collect information about you in order to process your order and to tailor your visit to our website to be as relevant to you as possible. That information will only be shared with other parties that are involved in the fulfilment of your order.

Returns Policy:

To start a return simply fill in the following form RETURNS FORM

All returns require a return number and returns paperwork which will be sent to you via email once our customer care team have received your request and processed the return.

We offer a 30 day returns period for unwanted items to be returned, starting from the day of your delivery, providing these are un-opened and in their original packaging. We do not accept returns after 30 days, nor for products that have been installed.

The customer is responsible for covering the cost of the return and arranging for the items to come back to us, unless otherwise confirmed by a member of our customer service team. We do not offer an exchange service, you will need to place a new order for the product you require and return the product not required via your own chosen courier.

Please note: For example, items such as shower trays and glass products have specific packaging designed to protect the item such as banding and polystyrene blocks. The removal of such means the product is no longer fully protected and therefore cannot be resold. Any instances where the packaging has been removed on unwanted shower trays and glass produts, a refund would not be eligible. We thoroughly recommend you do not open the product to check the sizing. If you are unsure of the measurements, please contact us and we'll happily advise.

Policy For Returning Unwanted Goods

We offer a 30 day returns period for unwanted items to be returned, starting from the day of your delivery. These items must be in the condition in which they were delivered to you, in order to be resold as new. As per the consumer contracts regulations, goods may only be handled to the same extent that they could be if you visited us in store. We are unable to accept any returns after the 30 day period.

The items must be un-opened and in their original packaging. If the packaging has been opened, please fill in the returns form with your attached photos to show the condition of the product and our customer service team will get back to you. Please note, this does not mean that your return is automatically accepted.

You must get a returns number and returns note prior to sending any goods back to us. Returning your items without obtaining a returns note number can result in a delay of your items being refunded.

You must return the goods via your chosen courier and at your own cost, the costs will vary dependant on the dimensions, weight, your location and the courier service you select, we strongly advise you to obtain an estimate of the cost of returning the item so you are prepared in the event a return is necessary. You will be responsible for any loss or damage of returned items so we recommend selecting a courier that provide the relevant insurance to cover the item(s) you are looking to return. We recommend that you select a tracked return and take photographs for your records prior to returning your item(s) to us. See Distance Selling Regulations and the Consumer Contracts Regulations for further information on your responsibility to return

Do not add any tape to un-opened items. Items have to be re-sold and the removal of certain tapes destroys the manufacturers packaging. No postage labels should be used on product packaging. Please use additional postage bags, boxes or wrap and add the label to the outside of this. Do not write on product packaging either.

In the event that the goods are not in the manufacturers packaging, have parts missing or can’t be resold as new, we reserve the right to make a deduction of up to 100% of the purchase price from the refund to cover the loss in value of the item. We reserve the right to refuse returns where the product is returned damaged, which therefore renders this unsuitable for resale.

All returns to our warehouse will be quality checked with an eligible refund processed within 48 hours of return. The refund will be made back to your original payment method. Please note: refund times are determined by your bank and not Shower Trays UK.

Please note – returns will incur a handling charge of up to 30%.

Returning Faulty Items

If you believe the item to be faulty or defective, we must have written confirmation of the fault within 30 days of receipt, starting from the day you received delivery. You can outline any details and upload photographic evidence using the returns form. If confirmed a manufacturing defect we are liable to replace the goods or provide a refund. Please note, certain manufacturers may require to test the product in order to define the fault.

If the goods have not yet been fitted and are found to be defective, we will arrange for the goods to be replaced. Once the goods have been installed you are only covered by the manufacturer’s warranty in accordance with their terms and conditions. If the goods are within the manufacturers guarantee period they will arrange to replace or repair the goods as per the manufacturers guarantee.
